About Jennifer
I’m here to help you feel seen, heard, and supported.
I feel deeply honored to do work that allows me to sit with people in their most honest and vulnerable moments.
My grandfather was a mortician, and growing up I understood the importance of showing up during some of life's most difficult moments. He taught me - without ever saying it directly - that being fully present with someone can be one of the greatest gifts we offer. That understanding has stayed with me throughout my career and continues to shape the way I approach therapy today.
I've come to realize that the people who need that kind of presence most are often the ones least likely to ask for it. They are professionals, parents, caregivers, partners, and friends - the people others naturally depend on. From the outside they often appear to have everything together, yet privately they may be living with chronic stress, anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, or the feeling that they've lost touch with themselves. Helping those individuals create healthier, more sustainable lives has become the focus of my practice.
My approach
I help people manage stress, anxiety, relationships and the challenges of high-pressure careers. My goal is to provide structure and support to help you live with greater authenticity and balance.
Together, we’ll explore the patterns keeping you stuck - like over-functioning, people-pleasing, and chronic stress - and begin shifting them in ways that feel sustainable. My approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and often includes humor and creativity. I’ll meet you where you’re at with compassion. I’ll help you observe patterns, identify narratives and will ask difficult questions when needed.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this work is seeing people evolve and begin to experience their lives differently. When people feel seen, heard and understood, their capacity for growth is expanded. They feel more grounded, more connected, and more confident in how they respond to life's challenges and relationships.
Experience and Training
For more than 15 years, I’ve worked with adults and teens across hospital programs, residential treatment centers, in-home services, and both group and private practices. Those experiences have allowed me to support people through a wide range of challenges while shaping the collaborative approach I bring to therapy today. I chose to build a private practice where I could offer thoughtful, individualized care without the constraints that often come with larger systems.
I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and my graduate degree from the University of Connecticut.
Outside of Therapy
Outside of work, I'm a mom to three children, and much of my life revolves around family. I find joy through practicing yoga, gardening, and spending time outdoors, especially at our family cabin in northern Minnesota. Those moments remind me of the importance of slowing down, staying present, and making space to recharge - something I encourage my clients to do as well.
